The Lijia-Shanmei Trail is also called Li(jia)mei Ancient Trail or Guishan Ancient Trail. It connects the two Tsou Settlements in Lijia and Shanmei. It used to be an important route taken by Han interpreters to make transactions between indigenous people and Han people in the Qing Dynasty times and was also the only road to reach Lijia, Shanmei and Xinmei Settlements before highways were built.

Chiaming Lake (嘉明湖) is the second-largest lake in Taiwan. In the local Bunun language, Chiaming Lake is called “cidanuman buan”, meaning “Mirror of the moon”. In Taiwan, it is traditionally referred to as “Angel’s teardrop” or, due to its deep blue color, “God’s lost sapphire”. (8car.com.tw). (wikipedia.org).

Great Ghost Lake. Pingtung. The lake is regarded by the Lukai tribe as a sacred place. It is the deepest natural high mountain lake in Taiwan, and difficult to reach due to the dangerous terrain. The area of the lake has great biological diversity and is considered to be an important habitat for wild animals. (taiwannews.com.tw).
